President Maia Sandu awarded the "Order of Honour" distinction to the director of the USAID Mission, Scott Hocklander, at the end of his mandate.

President Maia Sandu met today with the Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to Moldova. On the occasion of the end of Mr Hocklander's mandate, the head of state expressed her appreciation for USAID's assistance to our country in managing the energy, refugee and economic crises.

The President thanked for the additional aid recently announced by the American government, in the amount of 300 million dollars, to support the process of strengthening the economic resilience and energy independence of our country.

As a sign of high appreciation for the personal contribution to the consolidation of Moldovan-American relations of friendship and good collaboration, by decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Scott Hocklander was awarded the "Order of Honour".
