Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the President of Iceland, Guðni T. Jóhannesson, on the sidelines of her visit to Japan. The agenda of the talks focused on the bilateral cooperation.
The two Heads of State discussed the negotiations on the signing of a free trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), as well as the possibilities for renewable energy projects, taking into account Iceland's experience in this sector.
