President took part in CIS leaders’ informal meeting

Igor Dodon took part in an informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS countries, where the results of the organization's activities in 2018 were summed up and prospects for cooperation in the coming year were considered.

He remarked the usefulness of such meetings during which it was possible to share views on the most pressing problems, which the Commonwealth faced with, and to determine joint actions to overcome them.

Igor Dodon thanked his colleagues from the CIS countries for the attention they paid to our country in expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and stressed the need to strengthen cooperation in the economic, cultural, humanitarian sphere in maintaining relations established between our countries over the decades.

The head of state paid special attention to the need to strengthen the status of the Russian language as the language of interethnic communication between citizens of our countries.

Mr. Dodon congratulated colleagues from the CIS on winter holidays and wished them success in overcoming all the emerging challenges, as well as development and prosperity.
